dancing the sevillana

this post is dedicated to my dance class. we had our dance final on tuesday. i showed up and danced despite my slightly flu-ish state (not that i really had a choice... it was a final exam!). so here are some pictures so that you can see a little bit what dancing a sevillana looks like. i definitely stole some traditional sevillana music from my professor, so if you ever want a demonstration, just ask and i´ll make it happen!

here´s a look at our whole dance class. we have class everyday outside on the patio... it´s pretty picturesque, i can´t lie (only not when it´s raining... then it´s not so nice...)

well, the photos may all look the same, but i promise that the steps are all different and in a very specific sequence! kudos to chelsea, who was the fabulous photographer for this blog (i couldn´t take pics because, obviously, i was dancing). hope you like this glimpse of sevilla culture!

*scoff* Looks easy!
Just kidding, I'm sure I would make a total fool of myself if I ever took a class like that... you look very elegant though Meara, so congratulations on.. elegance? Hope you are feeling better!

I love the dancing! I hope you had a great time with Kevin your Mom and your Dad! You go home pretty soon don't you? Are you getting excited? I bet! Happy belated Thanksgiving to you! What did you guys do for dinner? We went to Wagamama and to a movie, it was a fun night. By the way, Death at a Funeral IS hilarious! I LOVED it, and laughed pretty much the entire time. Well I hope you enjoy your last week(s?) is Spain! Love ya girl! Hugs!
